Oh all right then: Bill Gates get 4 million spams per day
And you thought you had it bad. According to this Reuters article, billg gets 4 million of those damn things per day.
Well, this is according to Steve “iPod users are thieves!” Ballmer [note double quotes, here used to indicate nobody has ever said this], so perhaps we should hold back on belief eeeevvvver so slightly.
According to the story “only a few junk emails get through to Gates’s inbox”. Out of 4 million? That’s wayyy better than Spam Assassin or my own personal favourite (and recommendation). C’mon, Bill, tell the rest of us what this secret thing is you’ve got sorting through them. Whitelist? Secret code? I’m dying to know.
Worth looking at the story for the picture. Is he thinking (a) “Would Melinda find out if I do order the V—-a?” Or (b) “If I ever catch those spammers…”
Update: slightly more information over at CNN, which notes that practically an entire department at the company he founded is dedicated to ensuring that nothing unwanted gets into his inbox. Ah, so it’s not technology exactly, but dedicated people.
Even so, four million. Nuff respect.

And those that get through are his mates, saying that he’s running an email tracking service and will he pay them their $50 now please.
