Thought for the day: an Eastender’s email
OK, try this then. If Dot Cotton joined an email service where addresses use the format lastname.firstname@eastenders.co.uk, how many tries would it take her to tell someone her email address over the phone? Or would she just give up first?

I remember back in the dawn of Internet time, one Dorothy Comm was discovered. She’s still around - I think she’s in her seventies by now - but has the slightly disappointing email address of dotmcomm at aol dot com.
Eee, I remember when email addresses were in octal.
