Astroturfing the web… or ignoring it?
You’ll recall the phrase astroturfing (or you can follow the link to read more). My latest Netimperative column looks at whether it’s better to be like most FTSE 30 companies - and have annoying Flash intro pages which totally mess up your search engine ranking; or to be like Quixtar, the online manifestation of Amway, which decided to push its favourable ranking up by means that you might be familiar with.
