This will make *no* sense if you’re reading on RSS
OK, but if you’re reading the web page, and come here often(ish), you’ll see that after much twiddling, I’ve got a list of recent posts and recent comments on the front page.
Of course, the “recent comments” is a form of Russian roulette, given the delight that comment spammers take in trying to get stuff for p-k– etc into the more invisible parts of one’s blog; this shines a bright light on such stuff. Rather like those women who go to people’s houses and make sucked-lemon faces over their lack of housecleaning, the “recent comments” system (hacked about a bit from the MtDewVirus version, which didn’t want to work on 1.2 for me) is a way of exposing your mistakes in public.
But it seemed a nice thing to do. And I can always turn it off. Coming at some stage: dates on the ends of the recent posts and comments. Useful, ya think?
- These posts might be related (the database thinks..):

- How much coffee can a bunch of hacks drink? A lot, if you're paying (10 September 2004; score: 31.59%)
- ..though equally, people think you've evil even when you're not (22 October 2006; score: 30.22%)
