Simply hilarious. This is the real letter (PDF) someone sent to complain about their experience of being in seat 29E on Continental Airlines.
Reading it, you realise that perhaps it really is a good idea that they now take all the sharp objects out of hand luggage…
Snopes.com has more on it, though disappointingly it’s classed as “Undetermined” (ie there’s still the possibility that it’s not someone’s true experience). There’s also a transcript if you can’t bear PDFs, though that means you miss the little hand-drawn diagrams.
Even if it’s a fake, the person who was writing it is either a genius writer, or was very very angry anyway.
