Gorkana catches my attention: Roy Greenslade leaving Guardian..
I’d not heard of Gorkana (are they new? I dunno) but they certainly caught my attention with the alert that dropped into my mailbox:
Damian Reece, City Editor The Independent, is leaving to join The Daily Telegraph business desk…. Roy Greenslade is leaving The Guardian after 13 years to write a media column for The Daily Telegraph which will appear in business pages.
To which - wow. I thought Greenslade would have to be carried out of The Guardian feet-first. The joke was always that no matter what marvel The Indie performed, Greenslade would manage to find a way to make it sound like disaster. It’ll be interesting to see how, or whether, that changes when he’s at The Telegraph.
The Economist: Alison Kahler has recently joined The Economist as banking correspondent based in London. Alison joins from The Australian Financial Review where she was financial services reporter and personal finance editor.
So, more Aussies coming over here.. whatsamatter, a continent not big enough? Does this mean there’s a job over in Oz?
(Numbers removed, btw, though Gorkana, being useful included them. Very interesting.)
