You work too hard, it breaks - Chantelle and Preston, the unsurnamed couple. Are they on Facebook then?
In between wrestling with Facebook (feel the time vanish as you fill in Captchas!) my wife, who got there first and even had all sorts of people waiting to wrap their arms around her in welcome (and has a Wikipedia page - maybe I should write novels and she ought to do this technology stuff), points to the joint statement put out by Chantelle and Preston (no surnames necessary; what did they put on the marriage certificate then?):
“We both think that we have put so much pressure on each other to make the marriage work that it has ended up destroying our relationship.”
This lies somewhere along the lines of destroying the village to save it, surely.
So anyway yeah, I’m on Facebook now.

So anyway yeah, I’m on Facebook now.
But why FaceBook?
You must have read who goes there - “The goodie two shoes, jocks, athletes, or other “good” kids”
Whereas, “MySpace is still home for Latino/Hispanic teens, immigrant teens, “burnouts,” “alternative kids,” “art fags,” punks, emos, goths, gangstas, queer kids, and other kids who didn’t play into the dominant high school popularity paradigm.”

Doesn’t that sound like a better place to hang out?

Actually, Preston *is* his surname (I think his first name is Sam). I am deeply ashamed to have such knowledge.

PJ… how do you know that I don’t hang out on MySpace too..? I never went to high school, after all.

You are on Facebook? I think that calls for a new feature on the blog: Charles’ PR Pokes - how many PRs poke or send you work messages over Fbook. And everyone I know over 30 is taking down their myspace pages. It’s a bit like finally getting a five door car instead of a three door…
